SpecWhite® KA is produced by fermentation of yeast and glucose. It is an organic acid with antibacterial effects, soluble in water and ethanol, and sensitive to light and heat. Kojic acid is mainly used in whitening cosmetics to remove freckles, age spots and pigmentation. Compared with other whitening active substances, kojic acid can better inhibit tyrosinase activity and reduce melanin production.
